Guidance for a friend curious about Islam

Assalamu alaikum! So, my friend who's a Christian has been wanting to learn about Islam, and he's started reading the Qur’an. He's completely new to this-never read the Bible or any holy book before. I'm wondering how I can better support him or encourage him in the right direction. He's really keen to read the Qur’an directly and form his own understanding, not just hearing others' takes. I told him it might help to also look into the experiences of reverts or people on their own learning path, but he's set on his approach, which I totally respect. I've already offered to answer any questions he has, but is there anything else I can do to be a good helper? JazakAllah khair for any tips!
