NTB's 31st MTQ Wraps Up Tonight, Fatin Shidqia Entertains Central Lombok Crowd
The 31st Provincial Quran Recitation Competition (MTQ) of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) will come to a close on Monday evening (June 15) at Bencingah Agung Masmirah, Praya, Central Lombok Regency. The closing ceremony is set to be officiated by NTB Deputy Governor Indah Dhamayanti Putri. Singer Fatin Shidqia Lubis will perform as a guest star to entertain the public.
The Head of the NTB Provincial Secretariat's People's Welfare Bureau, Amir, said Fatin's appearance was a form of appreciation for the community's enthusiasm during almost 10 days of MTQ events. The event was also enlivened by local talents. Amir noted that the MTQ had gone smoothly and successfully, with adequate transportation support for the participants.
The final results are still pending the judges' plenary meeting. The winners, including the overall champion, will be announced at the closing ceremony. Amir invited the public to attend and make the MTQ a moment to strengthen Islamic brotherhood and love for the Quran.
He hoped the MTQ would produce the best male and female reciters (qari and qariah) and enhance understanding and practice of Quranic values. Local governments are encouraged to continue nurturing the younger generation to produce Quranic talents that bring honor to NTB at national and international levels.
