National Internship Opens Up Inclusive Opportunities for Fresh Graduates and People with Disabilities
Jakarta, June 29, 2026 – The National Internship Program is expanding access to the workforce, not only for fresh graduates but also for people with disabilities. Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said the program is designed to reach groups that often face greater challenges in getting jobs. One of the disabled interns, Rizky, has already secured employment and expressed thanks to the government.
“Besides fresh S1 graduates, later there will be several other groups who can take part in this program, namely from professional circles as well as our brothers and sisters with disabilities,” Teddy said. The program places participants in various companies for six months.
Interns receive income based on the regency/city minimum wage in their placement area, ranging from Rp3.5 million to Rp6 million per month. They also get mentoring to develop skills suited to industry needs.
