Mojtaba Khamenei Stresses Iran Won't Bow to America
Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, showed a cautious stance on the newly signed Memorandum of Understanding between Iran and the U.S. In a written statement, he admitted rejecting the deal at first but later went along with it after President Masoud Pezeshkian and top officials pledged to protect the rights of the Iranian people and the "Resistance Front."
Khamenei stressed that Iran's government won't accept unreasonable demands from the U.S. Pezeshkian gave his word that Iran won't bow if Washington tries to push harmful terms.
He also pointed out that planning face-to-face talks doesn't mean buying into U.S. attitudes or interests, since the dialogue still has clear limits and doesn't change Iran's position.
