Let's Talk About What It Really Means To Be Muslim
Assalamu alaikum, brothers and sisters. I have a concern I need to share. We often say "I'm Muslim," but then we read the Quran without understanding the translation, like it's just another book we close when we're done. How many of us don't even fully grasp the meaning of Tawheed? It's sad, but when you try to gently remind people about this truth, they sometimes get defensive and throw labels around. In Islam, everything begins with Tawheed. To be a Muslim, you need to know your Aqeedah. If someone is worshiping at graves or asking the deceased for help, that's not Islam. That is shirk, and we cannot pretend otherwise while still calling ourselves Muslims. Tawheed is the foundation. Without it, our prayers and acts of worship may not hold their true weight before Allah (SWT). We have to be honest with ourselves. Saying the words isn't enough; it's about having the right knowledge and belief in your heart. So, I'm making a sincere request: for the sake of Allah (SWT), please read the Quran with its meaning. Try to understand what our beautiful deen is truly about. Jazakum Allahu khayran.
