Laughed at in public-my anxiety is through the roof...
Assalamu alaikum warahmatullah. Since last September, I’ve been noticing random folks laughing at me for no clear reason. At first I brushed it off, but it’s been getting worse. Now I can’t even step out without feeling mocked. It’s really messing with my mental health. I’ve asked my family and close friends, and they always say, “We don’t see anything odd about you.” Some have even called me names I won’t repeat here. I can’t figure out what’s triggering it, but once I caught someone staring and asked him directly. He said my hair looked funny. I went to a barber right away, and as expected, he saw nothing wrong. Do any of you brothers and sisters think this could be from the evil eye? I literally avoid going anywhere now. I try to suppress my emotions and not react, but it’s a losing battle. May Allah bless you all.
