KNPI Criticizes Ubedilah's Statement Labeling Prabowo-Gibran Administration as a 'Burden to the Nation'
The Indonesian National Youth Committee (KNPI) considers the statement by academic Ubedilah Badrun, which referred to the administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka as a 'burden to the nation,' to be misleading to the public. The Chairman of the KNPI Central Executive Board, Haris Pertama, asserted that the statement is laden with political opinions packaged as an academic perspective, lacking support from complete data and an analytical framework.
Haris highlighted that the narrative of impeachment raised by Ubedilah should not be simplified for public consumption without a strong constitutional basis. He reminded that impeachment is a serious mechanism in state governance that requires clear legal grounds, not driven by unilateral opinions or emotional framing.
On the other hand, Ubedilah, in a statement on the YouTube channel Forum Keadilan TV, stated that the Prabowo-Gibran regime has constitutional flaws and has worsened the economic, democratic, and human rights situation in the year and a half it has been in power. KNPI emphasizes that criticism of the government should be constructive, solution-oriented, and not escalate into provocations that disrupt national stability.
