The Return of Prophet Isa (AS): A Sign of Hope Before the Final Hour

Assalamu alaikum, brothers and sisters. I've been reflecting on one of the greatest signs of the end times: the descent of Isa ibn Maryam (peace be upon him). The authentic hadith give us such a powerful vision – he will come down, establish true justice, break false symbols like the cross, and end practices like jizyah. The Dajjal will be defeated under his leadership. What really strikes me is that Prophet Isa (AS) won't bring a new religion. He'll come to confirm the final message of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. His arrival will make Allah's promises so clear and show that no earthly power can stop what Allah has decreed. Let me share a few hadith that really bring this reality home: 1. From Abu Huraira (RA): The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said that Isa (AS) will descend, judge fairly, break the cross, kill pigs, and end jizyah. Wealth will become so plentiful that people won't even want it. A single sajdah to Allah will become more valuable than the whole world. (Sahih al-Bukhari) 2. Jabir ibn Abdullah (RA) heard the Prophet ﷺ say that a group from this ummah will always fight for truth until the Day of Judgment. When Isa (AS) descends, the Muslim leader will ask him to lead the prayer, but Isa (AS) will decline, saying that leadership should remain among this ummah – showing the honor Allah gave us. (Sahih Muslim) 3. Abu Hurayrah (RA) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ described Isa (AS) as a man of medium height with reddish fairness, wearing two light yellow garments. He'll fight for Islam, break the cross, kill swine, abolish jizyah, and destroy the Dajjal. He'll live forty years and Muslims will pray his janazah. (Sunan Abi Dawud) Thinking about this gives me chills – in a good way. It's a reminder that truth always prevails and our faith has this incredible, hopeful ending written by Allah Himself.
