KMP Putri Yasmin Fire Update: 173 People Evacuated, One Dead

A total of 173 people have been evacuated in the fire on KMP Putri Yasmin in the waters of the Lombok Strait. Of that number, 172 people survived and one person died, namely Indah Dwi Septiani (20), a woman from Mataram. The victim's body was evacuated along with two survivors, Wahyuniati (65) and Rengga Restra (38), using a yacht. Head of the Mataram SAR Office, Muhamad Hariyadi, stated that the evacuation involved KN SAR Arjuna 220, a Indonesian Navy ship, KMP PortLink II, and vessels near the location. A total of 30 passengers were evacuated to Padangbai, Bali, 59 people to Lembar Port, and 17 others by Indonesian Navy ships. Temporary manifest data recorded 131 people on the ship, consisting of 114 passengers and 17 crew. The data discrepancy is still being reconciled to ensure all passengers and crew are identified.
