Islamic Prayers for Newborn Congratulatory Messages
The birth of a child is a joyful moment celebrated with prayers and hopes. In Islam, congratulatory messages for a newborn aren't just expressions-they also contain prayers that the baby grows into a pious, God-fearing child.
Some prayers that can be offered include one taught by Prophet Muhammad (SAW): "Barakallahu laki fihi waja'alahu barran taqiiyan" (May Allah bless this child for you and make him a righteous, God-fearing person). This prayer was said by the Prophet for Abu Thalhah and Ummu Sulaim's child.
Other prayers include wishes for the child to be blessed, become a source of comfort for the heart, grow under Allah's protection, and be a source of happiness and reward for their parents. Short congratulatory phrases like "Barakallah" or "May he/she become a righteous child" can also be used to convey well wishes in an Islamic way.
