Is There Islamic Proof for Spiritual Practices?
Salam alaikum, brothers and sisters. I’ve been a practicing Muslim my whole life, but lately I’ve been curious about spirituality-things like intuition (knowing something without logical steps), affirmations (repeating positive phrases to build confidence), the law of attraction (thoughts attracting similar experiences), the law of assumption (what you accept as true becomes your reality), the law of detachment (letting go of outcomes to achieve goals), and certain sound frequencies. First off, I only worship Allah, and I know everything comes from Him alone. I see these concepts as tools to train the mind-like keeping a goal in focus so your subconscious works on it automatically. Intuition, for me, isn’t something I force; I just get strong feelings or dreams that often turn out true. My questions: Is it haram to believe in these ideas? And is there any Islamic backing for them?
