Indonesian Domestic Worker Tortured in Malaysia, Four Suspects Arrested

A video of the torture of an Indonesian domestic worker in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, circulated widely on June 13, 2026. The incident happened on July 26, 2025, at a house in the Taman Johor area. Four suspects, two married couples aged 30–34, assaulted the victim on the pretext that she had hit the employer's child. The victim was interrogated and beaten in turns. Police suspect three other Indonesian domestic workers were also victimized at the same house. The four perpetrators were arrested at the scene on June 13, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. in a joint operation. Police stated the suspects tested negative for drugs and had no prior criminal records.
