Indonesia clinched the 2026 AVC Men's Volleyball Nations Cup after toppling South Korea 3-0 in Ahmedabad, India, Sunday (6/28). This title is a first for Indonesian men's volleyball, while also propelling the FIVB world ranking from 48th to 43rd.
Boy Arnez Arabi was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) and made the Dream Team along with two teammates, setter Alfin Daniel Pratama and middle blocker Hendra Kurniawan. Farhan Halim became the ace serve king with 12 direct points, while youngster Fauzan Nibras (18 years old) contributed 81 points and ranked 13th among top scorers.
This success underscores the resurgence of Indonesian men's volleyball in Asia, backed by solid regeneration. Indonesia is now just one spot behind India and inching closer to Asia's elite circle.
The next challenge is maintaining momentum to keep competing at the international level.
