Having doubts about some of the detailed rules and seeking reassurance.
As-salamu alaykum everyone. I was born into Islam, went through a period of doubt, but alhamdulillah, I feel I'm finding my way back. I'm praying and fasting for Ramadan, and after each prayer, I thank Allah for guiding me back to the straight path. What still causes me some uncertainty are some of the very specific rules and rituals mentioned in the Hadiths. For instance, I read about sunscreen potentially affecting wudu because it might prevent water from reaching the skin. Or another narration where it's mentioned that washing a limb more than three times during wudu is disliked. Sometimes I wonder, wouldn't Allah, the Most Merciful, value the sincere intention in our hearts more than such precise physical details? Why do these specifics matter so much? At times, it feels overly rigid to me. I'm just sharing my honest struggle, hoping for some understanding and gentle guidance. Jazakum Allahu khayran for reading.
