Grateful for Islam: Some Reflections on Pondering Life's Wonders

Assalam Alaikum wa Rahmat Allah wa Barakatuh! I hope you’re having a good day. I just felt this overwhelming need to share my gratitude to Allah SWT with you all. Take a second, really, and look at your hands-just a piece of flesh covering bones, with blood flowing through, all protected by skin. SubhanAllah, the detail! And then it’s divided into fingers, each with skin, nails, and even the color at the tip is different. It blows my mind just thinking about it. And what are we using to even notice this? Our eyes, our brains, our soul, conscience, the physical world, light, air… SubhanAllah. Allah is Al-Mighty, beyond all limits. Sometimes I can’t wrap my head around how generous and forgiving He is: all our mistakes, slip-ups, shortcomings, and with one sincere moment of repentance, it’s all wiped clean or even turned into reward. SubhanAllah. Please, I beg you, take a moment to just think, meditate, ponder. It’s impossible that your parents created you-they’re just the physical means Allah placed for us to come into existence. When we walk into a room and see water spilled, we don’t say it came from nothing. I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah. Reflect on how you got here. We’re beings who crave meaning, love, eternity. You and I don’t even fully grasp how we live each second: explain breathing? Thinking? Reading? Feeling? Hearing? Digesting food? Sleeping? Science only scratches the surface of the causes and effects Allah has set. Those who think they know or control something-they’re truly lost! If you controlled anything, why headaches? Why choke? Why get sick? Why need sleep? Fix those, then talk. We can’t control a single thing! All we can do is submit, fall to the ground, place our foreheads down, and submit. There’s no other way but to SUBMIT TO ALLAH. Look around you-up, down, left, right, inside, outside, everywhere. WAKE UP before it’s too late! WAKE UP! UNDERSTAND! ASK QUESTIONS! Why aren’t your eyes under your feet? Why isn’t your mouth on your shoulders? EVERYTHING IS CREATED WITH INFINITE WISDOM, SubhanAllah. I hope this message touches even the tiniest part of your heart and conscience. If it stirs a single hair of iman within you, Alhamdulillah. Share something you’re grateful for, something about the universe that amazes you. La ilaha illa Allah.
