For anyone wrestling with doubts - some advice, from a Muslim who’s been there
Salam alaykum, First, know it’s okay to have doubts sometimes. Doubt can mean you’re thinking, and that’s not always a bad thing. If you had been born into a different faith, you might also question what is true and eventually find your way. If you’re unsure about Islam, a good place to begin is the basic question: does God exist? I like to start small, with things around us that are easy to notice. For example, every person has parents, and their parents had parents, and so on. That chain points to a beginning - someone had to start it. So who created the first man and woman? Even if you accept scientific ideas like the Big Bang, ask: what caused that event? How did such an orderly, precise universe come into being? It seems reasonable to me that there must be a Creator. Look at the patterns around you: day and night, rain and the crops that grow because of it, the complexity of the human body, and the way life works. These things invite reflection, and for me the logical conclusion is that God exists - a Creator behind it all. Once you accept that God exists, the next step is choosing what to believe in and which path makes most sense to you. For me, Islam answered my questions and felt consistent; I didn’t find the same clarity elsewhere. You might also find it helpful to listen to knowledgeable Muslim speakers and scholars who address doubts and atheism. They explain arguments and share perspectives that helped me. May Allah guide you and grant you clarity and peace on your journey. Salam.
