Fleeing during OTT, KPK Ultimatums Kuansing Regent and Secretary to Surrender
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has given an ultimatum to Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing) Regent Suhardiman Amby and Regional Secretary Zulkarnaen to turn themselves in. The two fled during a sting operation (OTT) on Monday, June 29, 2026.
KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said that in the OTT, the KPK secured 10 people in Kuansing and Jakarta. Five of them were brought to the KPK's Red and White Building, consisting of three private sector individuals, one Kuansing civil servant, and one family member of a state official.
"The KPK urges the Regent and Secretary to be cooperative and surrender because their statements are needed in the legal process," Budi stressed. The KPK also seized evidence of financial transactions and one car.
This case is allegedly related to a bribe for a position in Kuansing Regency.
