Ever Wondered Why Allah Created Us?

Salam, everyone. I've been thinking a lot about why Allah made humans. It says in the Quran that He doesn't need us, and that He created both us and the jinn to worship Him. But if He doesn't need our worship, why create us for that? It's not like Allah gains anything from it-He's already perfect and complete. And then there's all the suffering in the world, both natural and from our own actions, which just makes me wonder more about the purpose behind it. I've heard some say, 'He created because He can,' but honestly, that doesn't really help me understand better. Anyone else have thoughts on this?
