Why do so many people approach faith like it's just an accessory or a mood?

Assalamu alaikum folks. Ever think about how wild it is that faith literally shapes our eternal reality-like, it's about our akhirah, our forever after-but a lot of us treat it like some casual side hobby? People just go through the motions, following their religion without really digging deep, almost like it's just part of their family background or culture. And so much gets decided by 'vibes' or feelings, right? How many of us actually sit down and sincerely study our deen, seek knowledge, and ask the tough questions to strengthen our iman? It's something to really reflect on.
