Choosing Between a Muslim Land and a Non-Muslim Country When You Can Relocate

Assalamu alaykum, I’m French-Algerian, born and raised in France, so it’s all I’ve known-my life is here. But my spouse and I both have Algerian passports, so we could move to Algeria if we wanted. I’m wondering, as Muslims, should we really try hard to make hijrah and settle there? Jazakum Allahu khayran for any advice.
