Bulog Prepares Land, Sea, and Air Routes to Distribute Earthquake Aid in NTT
State logistics company Perum Bulog has set up a layered distribution strategy to make sure food aid reaches people affected by the earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) quickly. CEO Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani explained that land routes using motorbikes are the priority for reaching areas that four-wheeled vehicles can't access because of damaged roads and landslides.
If land routes aren't possible, Bulog will use air and sea routes through coordination with the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB). To speed up distribution, Bulog has placed 10 tons of rice reserves at each airport and seaport, especially in Kupang, so aid can move immediately when urgent needs arise.
Rizal stressed that distribution flexibility is crucial in disaster situations. With this strategy, Bulog is trying to ensure that earthquake-affected people, including those in hard-to-reach areas, still get basic necessities without having to wait through a long distribution process.
