American surgeon describes Gaza conflict as worst experience of his career

An American orthopedic surgeon says his first week working in Gaza was more horrific than all his previous disaster and conflict deployments combined. Mark Perlmutter, who has worked in over 30 countries, compared the situation to the aftermath of 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, and the Haiti earthquake. He attributed the conditions to the Israeli bombardment in Gaza.
