Basarnas Searches for 2 Missing Passengers of KMP Mutiara Sentosa II After Fire

Head of the Surabaya Class A SAR Office Nanang Sigit said that the official data of passengers and crew aboard KMP Mutiara Sentosa II during the fire on Monday (8/3) was 236 people. So far, 234 have been evacuated, leaving two still missing. Previous data had recorded 286 people, but after verification, 50 didn't board due to limited vehicle capacity. Basarnas redeployed the SAR ship KN SAR Permadi from Kalianget Port at 08:30 WIB to comb the fire site in the northern waters of Sumenep, hoping the two victims are still afloat. Meanwhile, 57 survivors on the TB Hasnur 26 are being transferred to KM Masalembo heading to Tanjung Perak Port in Surabaya.
