Assalamu Alaikum - Lost my job because of serious health problems, need guidance and support
Assalamu Alaikum, I’m a father of two and I’m struggling. Back in 2006 I had major surgery and now I have only one kidney, no spleen, half my bladder removed, parts of my lung and liver taken out, and both my large and small intestines were cut. Later I had a hernia repair with mesh. In 2023 I had a heart attack and two stents were placed. Four months ago I lost my job because my health kept getting worse. Since then I haven’t earned a single rupee and I’m close to losing our home. I’ve tried everything I can think of - even selling clothes from a thela with whatever strength I have left - but it’s not enough. I’m exhausted and the stress is overwhelming. I don’t know what steps to take next. If anyone can offer practical advice, information about social or community assistance, charity options, medical support networks, or even emotional support and duas, I would be so grateful. If you know of any local zakat, sadaqah programs, charitable hospitals, or organizations that help families in this situation, please let me know.
