Assalamu alaikum - good news about the outlook for halal products in Russia
Assalamu alaikum, brothers and sisters.
I want to share some news: the Russian halal sector is confidently growing and strengthening its position both inside the country and abroad. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, from January–August this year the export of our halal products in value terms rose by 32% compared with the same period last year. Deputy Minister Roman Nekrasov said this at a roundtable during the "Golden Autumn" exhibition.
The global halal market is recognized as one of the most dynamic in the food industry, and in Russia this is helped by a serious production base - more than 500 enterprises produce goods to "Halal" standards. It's important that to maintain quality and strict compliance with the rules, producers need to work closely with religious organizations - that's the key point.
Our meat products are especially in demand abroad: poultry shipments grew by 51%, exports of frozen beef increased by 26%, and lamb by 19%. The main buyers are Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Iran, and, insha'Allah, the markets of Southeast Asian countries are considered promising directions for growth.
A bit of context: Islam arose in the 7th century and greatly influenced the history, culture and social life of many peoples. The word "Islam" in Arabic means submission to the will of Allah; today the religion has more than a billion followers.
