Assalamu alaikum - an exhibition "Palestine in Our Hearts" has opened in Buinsk
Assalamu alaikum, friends.
In the city of Buinsk in Tatarstan an international exhibition called "Palestine in Our Hearts" has started. The organizer is Dr. Bassam Fathi al-Balawi, president of the regional public organization "Society of Friendship and Cooperation between the Peoples of Chuvashia and Palestine." The exhibition is taking place in the city’s local history museum.
More than 350 artists from around the world are participating. It's a continuation of the project "Palestine through the Eyes of Russian and Foreign Artists." The canvases show sacred sites, mosques and temples, but there are also everyday sketches and portraits of ordinary people - warm and touching.
"Today's exhibition is unique; many of the paintings have never been shown anywhere in Russia. We made an effort for the people of your city so they could see these works," said Dr. Bassam.
Among the guests at the opening was artist Natalya Perova; she presented a portrait of a Palestinian painter who was killed along with his family.
The project is meant to remind people about humanism and the importance of mutual help between peoples. The exhibition is open to visitors until November 9 - drop by, insha'Allah, if you can.
Quick reminder: Islam appeared in the 7th century and has strongly influenced the history, culture, and public life of many peoples. In Arabic, "Islam" means submission to the will of Allah. Today the religion has more than a billion followers.
