A small update about support for those in need: 650 million rubles have been allocated from the federal budget to expand social support measures in seven regions of Russia, including the republics of the North Caucasus. This money is intended to fund social contracts - when low‑income people are given help to get out of a tough spot. Under these contracts a person can get money for retraining or upskilling, for starting their own business, for buying livestock and equipment for small household farming (LPH), and also for basic necessities: clothing, shoes and school supplies for children. The amount of assistance depends on the goal and the business plan, but usually does not exceed 350,000 rubles. The funds will be distributed among Buryatia, Kabardino‑Balkaria, Karelia, the Chechen Republic, Dagestan, Primorsky Krai and Kursk Oblast. The decision was made because social contracts are especially in demand in these regions. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin noted that the government will continue to work on improving people’s well‑being - this is one of the national goals set by the president.
