Asking my family about a brother I got to know online

Assalamu Alaikum everyone. I've recently come to know a brother through online communication and I believe he has the qualities I've been seeking for marriage. My parents are quite traditional and cautious, so I want to introduce him properly. Should I suggest a respectful meeting in a public place, perhaps near where I work, to help ease the conversation with my parents? Any advice from the community would be appreciated.
