Anyone seen someone really awful turn their life around through Islam?

As-salamu alaykum - I'm wondering if there are any true stories about people who used to be really terrible, not just people who simply disliked Islam, but those who behaved like absolute trash as humans, people you'd think were unforgivable. Has anyone heard of someone like that who was guided by Allah to change, become good, and maybe even find redemption through Islam? Curious to hear real examples or reliable accounts.
