Aceh's Deputy Governor and Migrant Community Help Bring Home a Pidie Resident's Body from Malaysia

Aceh Deputy Governor Fadhlullah, together with the Malaysia-based Grup Aceh Bersatu, helped arrange the repatriation of Fatimah Zahra's body. She was a resident of Gampong Tufah Jeulatang, Glumpang Tiga sub-district in Pidie, who passed away in Malaysia on May 28, 2026. The family could only provide Rp5 million out of the total Rp22 million needed. Fadhlullah covered the Rp17 million shortfall, including admin stuff, paperwork, and cargo for the body up to Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport. Once she arrived, Aceh's Social Service provided an ambulance to take the body back to her hometown in Glumpang Tiga, Pidie, so she could get a proper burial.
