Aceh Holds Grand Muhasabah at Baiturrahman Grand Mosque to Strengthen Sharia in the Islamic New Year 1448 H
The Aceh Islamic Sharia Agency (DSI), through the UPTD Management of Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, will hold a Night of Muhasabah at Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, Banda Aceh, on Monday night (15/6/2026), coinciding with the turn of the Islamic New Year 1 Muharram 1448 H. The event carries the theme "Spirit of Hijrah, Strengthening Sharia and Building Aceh's Civilization" as a moment for reflection and reinforcing commitment to building Aceh based on Islamic sharia.
The series of events begins after congregational Isha prayers at around 7:46 PM WIB. Acehnese scholar, Abu Muda H Ibnu Aqil Baidhawi (Abu Muda Bakongan), Leader of Dayah Ashabul Yamin Bakongan, South Aceh, will deliver a sermon. Deputy I Grand Imam of Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, Tgk H Ishak Ahmad (Abi Ishak Lamkawe), invites the community to make this momentum a chance to strengthen Islamic brotherhood and self-quality.
Abi Ishak emphasized that the Islamic New Year commemoration is not just an annual religious agenda, but also a moment to tighten togetherness and maintain Aceh's identity as a region that implements Islamic sharia. The community is expected to use the night of muhasabah to strengthen hijrah values in worship, social life, and contribution to regional development.
