A Reminder for the God-Fearing and a Warning for the Wrongdoers
Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh It’s true Fir‘awn spread corruption across the land, and true that Allah (swt) sent Musa (AS) with gentle words so he might heed and fear. Fir‘awn rejected and challenged the messenger, and Musa (AS) ultimately overpowered him - they drowned. After that, some of what belonged to Fir‘awn’s people fell into the hands of the people of Musa (AS). The Samiri misled them and they took a calf as a lord. Musa (AS) returned, angry at their disobedience, even grabbed his brother’s beard in his grief. He left upset, and when he came back he found worse rebellion. I’m not a prophet like Musa (AS), but I relate to that pain. Today many people seem to ‘worship’ Nikes, football stars, rappers, billionaires and celebrities - even if they claim they don’t worship them. Allah asked us to declare there is no god worthy of worship except Him, and to live by that. A woman wears hijab not because it’s trendy but out of love and fear of Allah. A man grows a beard not just because it might suit him, but because the Messenger (saws) taught it. The point is: the Dajjal’s system controls wealth and food, and people forget that religion itself can be corrupted. We may perform salah and read Qur’an, but are we the people of Jannah described in it, or are we like Qarun, Haman, or the people of Fir‘awn - who were destroyed? Remember the man from Fir‘awn’s circle who kept his faith hidden yet aided Musa (AS) and Allah called him a believer. For those whose state only Allah knows, may your private deeds suffice for His judgment, inshaAllah. The Messenger (saws) ordered hijrah when some Muslims among the disbelievers were harmed. He also said the Hour won’t come until people are divided: one camp sincere in iman without hypocrisy, another in kufr without faith. The Qur’an’s message is clear - many were drowned. Would you choose the path of the hypocrites - whom Allah may or may not forgive - or the path of the martyrs who enter Jannah without suffering? Those who skip Fajr because it’s too cold or early will struggle with the pains of death; the Prophet (saws) said a martyr feels death like an insect’s bite. The Qur’an advises believers not to all flee at once. Don’t let the enemies of Allah, or those imams and sources planted by the devil, tell you who the true mujahidin are. Al-Wala’ wa al-Bara’ is the way of a Muslim - if you don’t align it for Allah, you’ll align it for your desires or for those who are your enemies, and that is a dangerous path. Alhamdulillah.
