A powerful reminder from the life of our beloved Prophet ﷺ

Our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ spent three whole years in a cave before he received the first revelation. Think about that-three years completely away from everyone he knew, even his beloved wife and children. Just by himself, in a simple cave, without any comforts, no blankets, no luxuries. He was focused solely on working on himself, preparing for what was to come. And then look at us, who claim to follow him. We think we can live ‘normally’-not isolating ourselves even for a short time, not working seriously on improving our faith and character, not willing to give up some of life’s comforts and joys-and yet we expect to be able to carry forward his message, that noble mission he dedicated so much to? It really makes you reflect, doesn’t it?
