7 Prayers to Soften the Heart of an Angry Child and How to Educate Them According to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
Every kid has a unique character. Some are calm, but others can be stubborn and quick-tempered. Parents are encouraged to guide with love, not harshness. Besides effort, prayer is key so that Allah softens the child’s heart.
Here are some prayers you can practice: (1) A prayer to soften hearts like Prophet David (AS); (2) A prayer for children to be the delight of our eyes (QS Al-Furqan:74); (3) A prayer for dutiful children; (4) A prayer for children’s goodness; (5) A prayer for righteous offspring (QS As-Saffat:100); (6) A prayer for obedient children (QS Ibrahim:40); and (7) A prayer for well-being in this world and the hereafter (QS Al-Baqarah:201).
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) set an example in raising children through the story of Anas bin Malik: he never got angry, gave space, never used harsh words, and led by real example. This approach nurtured respect and made Anas a prominent hadith narrator.
