5 Punishments for Disobeying Parents: Warnings from the Quran and Hadith
Allah SWT forbids His servants from disobeying parents and commands being dutiful to them, even after the command to worship Him (QS. Al-Isra verse 23). Stern warnings for those who disobey are found in both the Quran and hadith. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) explained the punishments for disobedience: incurring Allah's wrath, not entering Paradise (reported by Ahmad, An-Nasa'i), being among the losers (reported by Muslim), deeds not accepted (reported by At-Thabrani), and punishment hastened in this world (reported by Bukhari). Worldly punishments include constrained sustenance, being distanced from blessings, various calamities, and similar treatment from one's own children later on. Disobedience encompasses words, actions, or attitudes that hurt parents.
