16 FH UI Students Suspected of Sexual Harassment Presented in Campus Forum
A forum at the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia (FH UI) on Monday evening (13/4/2026) presented 16 students suspected of being perpetrators of sexual harassment through conversations in a messaging app group. The suspects were presented due to pressure from attending students and were brought face-to-face with the students who are alleged victims. The event was also livestreamed on the social media of one of the action participants.
The Head of UI's Sub-Directorate of Media and Digitalization, Reska Herlambang, stated that UI has not yet imposed sanctions on the suspected perpetrators. According to him, the UI side is still waiting for the results of an internal investigation conducted by FH and related work units. UI's Public Relations plans to issue a press statement regarding this case in the near future.
The case gained public attention after a post on the X account @sampahFHUI on April 12, 2026, shared screenshots of a group conversation allegedly containing acts of harassment and objectification of women. Several members of that group are suspected of holding important positions within the campus environment, such as organizational administrators and class presidents.
