1,176 Acehnese Pilgrims from Three Batches Have Returned Home

The return process for Acehnese Hajj pilgrims continues through the Aceh Debarkation. As of Thursday, June 18, 2026, Batch BTJ-03 landed at Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport at 00:54 WIB with 392 pilgrims from West Aceh, North Aceh, Aceh Jaya, and Langsa. All pilgrims arrived intact, no one was missing. In total, 5,484 Acehnese pilgrims were dispatched this Hajj season. A total of 1,176 pilgrims from three batches have returned, while 3,122 pilgrims in eight batches are still in Medina, and 1,168 pilgrims in three batches are in Mecca awaiting return. PPIH Aceh recorded 11 pilgrims died in the Holy Land and nine are still being treated: seven in Mecca and two in Medina.
