Wrong Transfer of Rp93 Thousand COD Payment Becomes Rp93 Million, Money All Used Up by Courier
A woman in Palembang, South Sumatra, suffered a loss after entering the wrong transfer amount when paying for a COD package. NI (54) was supposed to pay Rp93,000, but instead transferred Rp93 million to the courier's personal account on Monday (20/7/2026).
The mistake was only realized a few days later. NI contacted the courier and tracked him down to ask for a refund, but when they went to the bank, it turned out the money had already been spent.
NI then handed the courier over to the Palembang Police. The police have received the suspect and handed him over to investigators for further legal process.
