Heading to my local mosque tomorrow to take shahada

So after a lot of reflection and really getting into the details of Islam, I feel ready to go to the mosque tomorrow, Friday, with my mom by my side, and accept Allah’s true love and message alongside the ummah. I’ve done my research, understood the core beliefs, and honestly, your perspectives have shown me the truth. I’m hoping this path helps me get a better handle on some of my not-so-great habits. I know Allah loves me, and I’ll try to hear that love by seeing the tests in my daily life as a way to guide me toward becoming a better man. My mom is really supportive of my choice and is praying for the best on this new journey. I wanna thank everyone for the good conversations and the kind, funny folks I’ve met-there are some truly beautiful souls from all over the world. My biggest challenges right now are learning Arabic to understand better, handling some cultural shocks I’ve had with community members, and figuring out how to tell the rest of my family and friends that I’m embracing Islam… but I know I’ll find the right way to be honest with them, insha’Allah.
