The 31st National MTQ Comes to Central Java, Carrying Harmony Towards a Golden Indonesia
Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi and Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar officially launched the logo, mascot, and theme of the 31st National MTQ at the Convention Hall of the Great Mosque of Central Java in Semarang on Thursday (6/25/2026). This launch marks Central Java's readiness to host the event from September 11-20, 2026.
Carrying the theme "Spreading the Light of the Quran in Harmony Towards a Civilized Golden Indonesia", this year's MTQ not only features competitions but also seminars, exhibitions, tambourine contests, job fairs, and city tours. The Minister emphasized that these innovations strengthen unity, tolerance, and bring economic benefits to the region.
Governor Ahmad Luthfi stated Central Java's commitment to ensuring participants' comfort and mobilizing all regional heads to make the event a success. The 31st National MTQ also serves as a platform for promoting MSMEs and cultural exchange, highlighting the city of Semarang and Central Java.
