Ramadan - Newcomer to Islam Asking for Prayers

Salam everyone. I'm someone who has recently embraced mainstream Islam after leaving a different religious background, and I'm currently trying to explain my decision to my family and also arrange a marriage according to Islamic principles. As you might expect, this is quite tough. People who try to step away from smaller, unconventional religious groups often lack a support network outside the community they were raised in, which is why many stay reluctantly even if their beliefs change. Family ties and sibling relationships can sometimes be used to pressure you, as I've experienced lately.
