Quran reading courses are starting in the mosques of Tatarstan - As-salamu alaykum

Assalamu alaikum! In two weeks, courses on reading the Quran will kick off in the mosques of Tatarstan, and anyone who wants to can sign up. The press service of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic has shared the details. The program was developed by the mufti office together with the Center for Training Hafiz of the Quran named after Gusman ibn Gaffan at the Kazan Islamic University. The first class is set for November 15. The courses will run for three months and wrap up on the eve of the first day of Ramadan, which starts on February 19. These courses are aimed at those starting "from scratch": from learning the Arabic alphabet to mastering the rules of Quran reading. Qualified female teachers and specialists will lead the classes twice a week until Ramadan 2026. Classes will take place in various mosques in Kazan: "Raşida" (24 Tsvetochnaya St.), "Gailia" (2 Dzhauad Faizi St.), "Änilär" (18 Gazovaya St.), "Iman Nury" (32 Dorozhnaya St.), "Kazan Nury" (3 Fatykh Amirhan St., bldg. 2), "Ähmädzäki" (16a Novo-Osinovsky Lane), "Ämät" (3a Dachnaya St.), "Nurislam" (36 Musy Bigiyeva St.), as well as in the "Ramazan" mosque in the village of Zvanka (1b Priozyornaya St.), the mosque named after Abdur-Rahman ibn ‘Awf in the village of Novo-Shigaleево in the Pestrechinsky district, and in the Mamadysh madrasa (8/28 M. Jalil St. in Mamadysh city). This year, there will also be separate courses for women at the historic Apanaev Muslim School (28 Shigabutdin Marjani St.). It was previously reported that an authoritative jury would determine the best Quran readers in Tatarstan - insha Allah, this will support and inspire the participants.
