Peace be upon you - in Ufa, they discussed the contribution of Turkic peoples to the defense of the Fatherland.
Assalamu alaikum. There was a two-day all-Russian scientific forum "Turks of Russia: Defending the Fatherland" in Ufa, which gathered over 150 participants - experts, scholars, and representatives from national-cultural organizations from different regions of Russia and Belarus. The event took place in the capital of Bashkortostan from October 21 to 22.
At the forum, they talked about the connection between national policy and historical memory of the people, and the role of Turkic peoples in modern Russian society. Participants highlighted the importance of interethnic and interfaith unity for the stability and well-being of the country, as well as for protection against external threats.
The chairwoman of the presidium of the Bashkir Society and State Duma deputy Elvira Aitkulova emphasized that the fight is not only on the front but also in the information space: "Right now, there are many eager to play the national and interfaith card. We need strong arguments from experts in the scientific community. The forum is an important platform to work together on measures against informational threats."
During the round table "Defending the Fatherland in Modern Information Wars," they discussed patriotism, interethnic solidarity, and issues related to children's Turkic language content in Russia.
The organizers were the Spiritual Administration of Muslims and the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Bashkortostan. As noted by sociology PhD Ilshat Yusupov, 44 experts came from 15 regions: "The goal is to exchange views among leading scientists, to unite society and come up with ideas for strengthening solidarity among our peoples."
Just a reminder: Islam emerged in the 7th century and has significantly influenced the history, culture, and social development of many nations. The word "Islam" in Arabic means "submission to the will of Allah," and today, more than a billion people practice this religion.
