PBNU Officially Freezes PCNU Jember and Appoints a Caretaker Team

The Nahdlatul Ulama Central Board (PBNU) has officially frozen the Jember Nahdlatul Ulama Branch Management (PCNU) because the extended service period ended without holding a Branch Conference (Konfercab). This decision is outlined in PBNU Decree No. 640/PB.01/A.II.01.45/99/07/2026, signed in Jakarta on July 14, 2026, by Rais Aam KH. Miftachul Akhyar, Katib Aam KH. Akhmad Said Asrori, General Chairman KH. Yahya Cholil Staquf, and Secretary General H. Saifullah Yusuf. A caretaker team has been appointed, with Rais KH. Sadid Jauhari, Chairman Prof. Dr. H. Babun Suharto, and Secretary Haikal Atiq Zamzami, along with several cross-generational figures and other senior academics. The team's main task is to organize a Konfercab to elect a definitive management within a maximum of three months, by October 14, 2026.
