One Hajj Pilgrim from Malang City Dies on Return Trip to Indonesia, Total 4 Deaths
The return of Hajj pilgrims from Malang City in 2026 has been marked by sad news. A pilgrim died while on the journey back to Indonesia from the Holy Land. The Head of the People's Welfare Section of Malang City, Achmad Soleh, confirmed the report, but details of the location are still being coordinated.
A total of four Hajj pilgrims from Malang City have passed away during this year's Hajj pilgrimage, at different stages: before departure, in the Holy Land, and during the return. They are Fatur (Flight 11), Fajar (Flight 11), Wayan Rohan (Flight 12), and Heri (Flight 12).
Out of 1,203 pilgrims dispatched, a total of 1,199 have returned to Indonesia. The return of Flight 11, 12, and 13 went smoothly. Most pilgrims arrived in good health, although some elderly required special assistance. The pilgrims began leaving the Holy Land via King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah on Wednesday (6/3) and are scheduled to arrive in Malang City on Thursday (6/4).
