Oki Setiana Dewi Receives Threats After Serving as Key Witness in Sheikh Ahmad Al Misry Case
Preacher Oki Setiana Dewi reportedly received threats after becoming a key witness in the alleged sexual harassment case involving Sheikh Ahmad Al Misry. According to Habib Mahdi's statement, the threats came from Sheikh Ahmad's assistant named Alif, who allegedly asked Indonesian students in Egypt to track down Oki's home address. Oki is seen as playing a crucial role after meeting directly with one of the victims and reporting the findings to fellow clerics.
Besides Oki, Sheikh Ahmad Al Misry's side is also suspected of intimidating Habib Mahdi, including physical threats made during the clarification process at Kiai Khalil Nafis' residence. Habib Mahdi asserted that he would file additional police reports if the intimidation continues and is preparing layered charges against parties obstructing the legal process.
Sheikh Ahmad Al Misry was officially named a suspect in the sexual harassment case by Bareskrim Polri on April 24, 2026. This designation is based on the investigation results from the Directorate of PPA and PPO Crimes. The victims' legal representative, Benny Jehadu, stated that there is suspected to be more than one victim, with incidents occurring between 2017 and 2025, causing deep psychological trauma.
