Navigating feelings at school

Assalam alaikum everyone. I’m kind of stuck in my own head and not sure who to talk to about this, so I’m just throwing it out here. There’s a Muslim girl in my school, same age as me, and we get along really well. I honestly have a massive crush on her, and it feels weird to even admit that out loud. I know boyfriend/girlfriend stuff isn’t allowed, but is it haram to make dua that Allah brings us together somehow? I don’t even know how to go about this in a halal way. Maybe I shouldn’t be thinking like this at 16, but I can’t help it. I overheard her telling her friend she likes me too, so it’s not just in my imagination. Any advice? Sorry, this is all over the place-my thoughts are even more jumbled than this.
