Ministry of Religious Affairs Urges Pilgrims to Conserve Energy and Be Aware of Ihram Mistakes Ahead of Hajj Peak
Ahead of the peak phase of the Hajj pilgrimage 1447 H/2026 M, the Ministry of Religious Affairs reminds Indonesian pilgrims to conserve energy, maintain health, and adhere to ihram regulations. This appeal was issued as the flow of second-wave pilgrims arriving via Jeddah to Mecca increases.
RI Ministry of Religious Affairs spokesperson Maria Assegaff emphasized the importance of maintaining physical and mental stamina ahead of the peak period. "Pilgrims need to conserve their energy, limit non-urgent activities, and avoid forcing themselves to be active outside the hotel, especially during the day," she said. She also requested pilgrims to report immediately to officers if they experience health complaints.
The government specifically reminds second-wave pilgrims to ensure the procedures of ihram have been performed correctly before passing the miqat. "Understand the prohibitions of ihram, maintain order during the journey, and follow all directions from officers from embarkation until arrival in Mecca," explained Maria. Compliance with these procedures is expected to support the smoothness and spiritual success of the Hajj pilgrimage.
