Makes His Own Flavored Synthetic Tobacco, 23-Year-Old Man Arrested, Distributed in Surabaya–Sidoarjo

The Surabaya Police Narcotics Unit arrested BS (23) from Madiun, suspected of being a dealer and maker of various flavored synthetic tobacco. The arrest at his rented room in Penambangan, Taman, Sidoarjo, on Saturday (18/7) at around 2:30 PM, revealed that the room was being used as a production and storage site. Narcotics Unit Head AKBP Dodi Pratama explained that BS mixed synthetic tobacco with regular tobacco, poured flavored liquid over it, dried it with a hairdryer, then packaged it in 3-gram portions. The process was guided over the phone by AJ, who is now a fugitive. BS received a payment of Rp50,000 per delivery location and has been operating since 2025. The confiscated evidence includes 42 bags of synthetic tobacco (145.458 grams), marijuana, methamphetamine, a digital scale, a hairdryer, flavor bottles, and 96% alcohol.
