Life as a Muslim in the US after college (my story)
Growing up, I wasn’t really firm in my faith. In college, I drifted even further-joined a fraternity, went to parties, hung out in clubs, you know. Now, alhamdulillah, I’m married to a kind Christian woman who kept herself chaste until marriage. We don’t plan on kids, and my parents were okay with it since the nikkah made it halal, thank God. After graduation, right after the nikkah, I started going to the masjid and praying again. SubhanAllah, Allah is truly the best of planners-He let me enjoy my youth, blessed me with a lovely spouse, and right out of college I landed a six-figure job, even when I wasn’t giving Him what I owed. I’m just so grateful, honestly. Sorry for any typos, wrote this in the car. PS. Just wanted to say: no matter how far you’ve strayed, Allah’s mercy is always there.
